BRYN PENDRAGON Age 18 Gender Female Height 5'3'' Build Petite Species Human...ish First Impressions "Don't you run away from me!" (CV: Laura Bailey) Bryn is 5'3'', with a build to match – she's petite and kind of fragile looking, like a stiff breeze could blow her right over. Despite this, she's startlingly strong, wildly out of proportion to her actual size and musculature. Bryn's also an adventurer and she looks the part. She's got the healthy, outdoorsy glow of someone who spends a lot of time outside and moving about. Her features are pretty youthful as well – she's got a rosy complexion and she's babyfaced in a way that, combined with her size and general everything occasionally makes her come off as younger than she is. She has a pretty face, with large eyes and thick eyelashes and her features most closely analog to Scandinavian, or more specifically a Fantasy Nordic-Adjacent world. One of her most notable features is the white rose growing in her right eye. It doesn't appear to cause her any discomfort, but it does mean that she's blind on that side. In addition, though it's easy to miss, characters who are particularly observant might notice that her canine teeth are sharper and more pronounced than is typical. Bryn's hair is pale purple and stupid long, growing well past her knees and is often left loose and flowing. Her bangs are a neat, blunt cut just past her eyebrows and she has two longer face-framing pieces that grow down to her chest. Her "default" outfit is a set of silver-colored armor that she wears combined with a flowing dress, with shades of purple skirt layered on a fluffy white underlayer. She wears a black circlet on her head that resembles horns and scattered around her outfit (at her neck, clasping her scarf together and on her skirt) are pieces of draconite, magical stones that resemble rainbow quartz. Bryn's manga PB is Elisabeth von Wettin from Shinyaku Marchen, and her manga icons are edited to include the rose in her eye because I enjoy making things difficult for myself. Demenor & Impression Highlights Expanded Personality Info & History ✦ Aggressively extroverted and cheerful and always seems in high spirits with energy to spare. Even though she's physically small, her actual presence vastly exceeds her height primarily through sheer force of personality and/or volume. S u p e r animated when she talks! She gestures a lot with her hands, especially when she's really excited. ✦ Body language tends to skew youthful and a bit more girlish than expected for a girl her age. She doesn't respect personal space super well and will often touch/grab at other people without much warning as she speaks. ✦ Despite the intensely hyperactive energy she gives off, she's pretty good at being quiet and settled with books and she's a pretty fast reader if left alone to her own devices. ✦ MUCH stronger than she should be for her apparent size and age. She isn't very visibly muscular but doesn't struggle with carrying weights and applying force beyond what she 'should' be able to. This seems to come pretty naturally to her and aside from slipups here and there, she generally gives the impression of being very used to her own strength. ✦ Similarly to the above, she tends to eat way more than someone her size should need to and gets hungrier a little quicker than you'd expect. She easily scarfs down massive portion sizes and tends to gravitate towards protein-heavy foods. She greatly prefers red meat, but eggs, milk and fish will do in a pinch. ✦ She has a phobia of both fire and the dark, the former of which is much more pronounced than the latter. Her fear of darkness mostly manifests as a preference for sleeping with at least one or two sources of dim light, but she'll put up with it if she can't. Her phobia of fire mostly comes into play around uncontrolled fires. She's fine with things like fireplaces or campfires (but will keep her distance) but in the case of fire elemental magic or something like a wildfire, these can trigger panic attacks if she's not able to keep away from them. Abilities & Magical Info Bryn's situation is a little complicated, but can be most easily summed up as "human imbued with the powers of a dragon" or "a haf-dragon in human form". For characters with magical or spiritual sensitivity, she will ping as having huge amounts of magic and/or partially undead, as she's harboring the powers and spirit of a dead dragon. To get into the specifics, she's a human who received the powers of a dragon by entering what's called a Pact with him. It functions as a magical contract in which the dragon imparts its powers onto another living being – Bryn, in this case. Because of this, Bryn is bound to fulfill their mutual goal and will suffer adverse effects if she tries to avoid doing it – her powers can go out of control and her behaviour and mind will eventually degrade until she becomes bestial and animalistic. It's not fun! A quick cheat sheet of her specific abilities is below: ✦ Dragonfire: Bryn can breathe dragonfire, but Prefers Not To. She generally finds it very hard to control and she usually can't produce more than a tiny handful of embers on command anyway. She can produce much larger columns of the stuff, but generally only in especially dire situations and only as a last resort, as spewing too much of the stuff can knock her clean out. Bryn's dragonfire is purple and burns exceptionally hot and is also fairly difficult to put out once it really gets going. ✦ Heightened Strength & Resilience: Much like a dragon, Bryn is incredibly physically resilient, able to withstand forces far beyond a regular human. She could probably walk off being hit by a car, for example, but maybe not being hit by something like a truck. She's also got an incredibly heightened physical strength and is able to lift weights and apply forces way beyond what her actual stature implies. Because of her affinity for fire, she's also able to withstand high temperatures for rather long periods of time and can handle open flames for a minute or so before she starts to suffer for it. ✦ Other: Bryn's blood is slightly acidic, like that of a dragon and also an incredibly powerful alchemical ingredient but LET'S NOT GO THERE.
